- Spirit of Detroit: A Symphony of the People: Using an arrangement of the central theme in Gustav Holst’s “Jupiter” from The Planets — put together by composer and Detroit Symphony Orchesta (DSO) cellist Jeremy Crosmer with lyrics by Meaghan Heinrich — the DSO invited the Detroit community and beyond to join DSO musicians on their own virtual stages. They received 250 submissions between their own DSO musicians, instrumentalists and vocalists from our community, plus a surprise appearance from the DSO’s new Music Director, Jader Bignamini.
