It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected death on September 28th of our colleague and friend, WRCJ’s midday host Chris Felcyn.
Public viewing for Chris will be held 3p – 9p Thursday, 10/4 and Friday, 10/5, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr (between 13 & 14 mile roads) in Warren.
Chris was one of the best interviewers in the business, a talented pianist, and an ultimate professional with wit and creativity in sharing classical music. He was a true radio talent who saw the microphone as an essential instrument of personal communication and his presence on the air was true to his character. He was loved by many and will truly be missed. His funeral will be private, for family only. Thank you for all your expressions of sympathy and support.
I miss hearing Chris Felcyn every day. When I first arrived 10 years ago and no services were set up, I found a classical radio station and was immediately entertained by the tone of his voice and everything he said was so down to earth. The station hasn’t been the same since.
