Spring is in full swing, and it’s time to beautify those outdoor spaces with flowers from Eastern Market’s Flower Day. Plus, Motor City Comic Con is coming to the Suburban Collection Showplace, and don’t miss the Farm Fest at Maybury Farms.

  • Motor City Comic Con returns to the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi May 17-19. The event features contests, screenings, celebrity guests, food and more.  
  • The Detroit Repertory Theatre presents the play “Between Riverside and Crazy,” a dark comedy, starting May 17 through June 7. 
  • Maybury Farms hosts Farm Fest on Saturday, May 18. The festival features arts and crafts, live music, children’s games, and a petting zoo.  
  • The Detroit Institute of Arts celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with the guest artist workshop “Separate and Together” with Korean artist Mike Han on May 18-19. 
  • Eastern Market in Detroit hosts its annual Flower Day on Sunday, May 19. Vendors from across the Midwest will be selling their flowers at the event. 
  • The Highland Downtown Development Authority hosts its Founders Day Parade & Festival on Saturday, May 18, featuring a Kids Zone, local artisans, a veteran’s ceremony and more. 
  • The Fairlane Town Center in Dearborn presents Cirque Italia’s “Water Circus: Gold Unit” under the white and blue big top tent May 16-19. 
  • Neil Young and Crazy Horse bring their “Love Earth” tour to Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston on Wednesday, May 22.
