Workforce Diversity: Local communications and marketing consultants Mark Kee and Karen Dumas recently wrote an op-ed in the Detroit News stressing the importance of businesses hiring and promoting more people of color. It’s especially vital in a city like Detroit, which is approximately 80% African-American. Stephen catches up with Mark, Karen, and Trina Scott, Chief Diversity Officer at Rock Ventures, on American Black Journal.
Fighting Racism with Literacy: One Detroit contributor, Nolan Finley, talks with Pamela Good of the non-profit, Beyond Basics, about the steps needed to provide reading resources to Detroit Public Schools students.
