SKILLED TRADES TRAINING CENTER: One Detroit takes a closer look at the multi-million dollar skilled trades training center that is scheduled to be built on Detroit’s west side. We also take a look at Stephen Henderson’s Tuxedo Project, which is already transforming the neighborhood where the training center is planned.
FLINT WATER CRISIS: It has been five years since the residents of Flint first complained about the quality of their water. One Detroit talks with Anna Clark, the author of an award-winning book about the Flint water crisis titled, “The Poisoned City: Flint’s Water and The American Urban Tragedy.”
CHARTER COMMISSION COMMENTARY: As the Detroit Charter Commission comes under fire for chaos at its meetings, One Detroit gives community organizer Latoya Morgan a chance to explain her stance on the controversy in this special commentary.
REBEL NELL: A Detroit Performs report on Rebel Nell, a Detroit-based social enterprise that makes jewelry out of graffiti, while empowering the women who create the jewelry.
