HEADLINES: Nolan and Stephen debate the latest news surrounding the controversial Line 5 pipeline in the Straits of Mackinac and Enbridge Energy‘s claims that it would cover the costs of an oil spill cleanup if the pipeline ever ruptured.
BUSINESS LEADERS FOR MICHIGAN : Christy, Nolan and Stephen talk with Doug Rothwell, CEO of Business Leaders for Michigan, about the current business climate in Detroit and Michigan. They also analyze a new Detroit Future City report that shows many of the nation’s business leaders still believe Detroit is in bankruptcy.
BRIGHTMOOR DAY OF HEALING: A One Detroit report on how the city’s Brightmoor community has come together for a Healing Day to help children deal with trauma.
- What is keeping some of our kids from living a full life? How do issues such as food and housing insecurity and mental health affect their lives and future? The team from Detroit Public TV’s “One Detroit” and “American Black Journal” addressed these issues in a recent roadshow – “Are the Kids All Right? The Well-being of Children” – at City Covenant Church in the Brightmoor neighborhood.
