JAIL TASK FORCE: A newly-formed state jail task force is looking to make changes in the criminal justice system, including examining alternatives to jail. We hear from two members of the task force, Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist and State Supreme Court Chief Justice Bridget McCormack.
JOHN RAKOLTA, JR. : Nolan Finley sits down with new U.S. Ambassador John Rakolta, Jr. just before he leaves for the United Arab Emirates to talk about his appointment, the current issues in the Middle East, and his priorities as ambassador.
LIVERNOIS BUSINESSES: In this interview from American Black Journal, Stephen Henderson talks with City of Detroit Group Executive Arthur Jemison and two Livernois Avenue business owners about the city’s response to businesses that are struggling to survive during a major streetscape construction project on the Avenue of Fashion.
