Beats and BBQ Juneteenth Kickoff | 6:30-10:30 p.m.
The Beats & BBQ Block Party will be held at Batch Brewing Company as the celebratory kickoff for Juneteenth Freedom Weekend. The event will include live performances, an art installation, BBQ, and more! So join us for day 1 of Juneteenth Freedom Weekend.

Freedom Day 5K for Health, Wealth, and Literacy | 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The Freedom Day 5K for health, wealth, and literacy is a walk/run that will take place Saturday Morning at Marygrove Conservancy. This fundraiser will go towards helping organizations that break barriers to accessing financial, educational, and physical freedom in Detroit’s community.
Juneteenth Jubilee Stroll | 12-6 p.m.
Celebrate economic freedom at a stroll to support Black entrepreneurship on the Historic Avenue of Fashion. This unique shopping day will include entertainment, giveaways, an HBCU tailgate, food trucks, and more! Free Parking until 6:30 p.m. at Lots B and D (Livernois and Pembroke)

Black Leaders Detroit, Juneteenth Jubilee Detroit, The City of Detroit, Metro Detroit Black Business Alliance, Detroit Branch NAACP, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Detroit Means Business and Eastern Market Development Corporation have partnered to celebrate Juneteenth on June 18, 2023 at Shed 5! This celebration will also include a special treat for Father’s Day.
