On the next American Black Journal: The historical society for the country’s first Black owned and operated television station, WGPR, launches a series of screenings and talkbacks with filmmakers. The first documentary focuses on the lives lost during the 1967 Detroit rebellion. Plus, we’ll preview our upcoming Education Roadshow with a look at the educational challenges in Detroit’s Brightmoor community.  And, we’ll talk about the in-depth report by our Detroit Journalism Cooperative partner Chalkbeat Detroit on Detroit School Superintendent Dr. Nikolai Vitti’s first three months on the job.
