Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s executive order declaring racism a public health crisis is bringing attention to the systems and policies that result in health disparities impacting people of color. Dr. Kimberlydawn Wisdom of Henry Ford Health System talks about the governor’s declaration and what it means for the community. Plus, Stephen talks with Nate Wallace from Knight Foundation’s Detroit office about an op-ed he wrote indicating the need for Black Detroiters to have more access to the arts and calling for more diversity in leadership and boardroom positions at local cultural institutions.  And, we’ll see a new public service announcement that features two hip hop legends and a Grammy-nominated artist encouraging people to wear masks during the pandemic.
