       2.)  GORDIE HOWE BRIDGE – A groundbreaking ceremony for the Gordie Howe International Bridge took place this week, with construction expected to begin in the fall.  The MiWeek team discusses the economic impact for Detroit and Windsor, and the ongoing opposition to the bridge by the owner of the Ambassador Bridge.  

       3.)  ISLANDVIEW COFFEE SHOP – In this special One Detroit report, Christy visits a unique new neighborhood gathering place on Detroit’s east side in the Islandview community.  It’s called The Commons — a community space that is bringing residents together over coffee and laundry.
