Juneteenth Celebration of Freedom

We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 12-6 p.m. at the Dr. Lavonne M. Sheffield Bridge Center Library located at 9928 Grand River Ave, Detroit, MI 48204.
This year’s celebration promises to be bigger and better than ever before! We have lots of exciting activities lined up, such as face painting, vendors, food trucks, bingo, bid whist, spades, a bounce house, music, live performances, and much more. So, don’t forget to bring your family and friends along so that you can all be a part of the festivities!
But, that’s not all – we also have some amazing live performances lined up that you won’t want to miss. First, we have The Omawale Dancers who will be performing from 3-4 p.m. They will take you through a mesmerizing cultural and artistic journey that will leave you spellbound.
Next, we have Amor Shaneé, one of the most soulful and passionate singers you will ever hear. And to top it all off, we have the incredible band 313: The Live Experience from 4:30- 6 p.m. Get ready to groove to some amazing music that will have you dancing all day long!
We will also be holding hustle lessons that you are more than welcome to attend. And, if you need to cool down a bit, we have arranged for an indoor movie screening of ” One Night in Miami” that is sure to keep you entertained.
