This Week’s COVID313 Town Hall Features:

Do you have questions about the rising availability and eligibility of the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot? And how will students be kept safe from COVID-19 during after-school and other social activities?

Dr. Dennis Cunningham, a pediatrician at Henry Ford Health System, and Renata Polk, a registered nurse at the Detroit Health Department join the COVID313 town hall to share important information about the COVID-19 booster shot, why its important to receive one, and where the booster shot will be available.

Plus, hear from local school officials about the COVID-19 health safety policies they’re implementing at their schools. Iranetta Wright, the deputy superintendent of Detroit Public Schools Community District, and Kerri Smith, CEO of Champions Education Network, talk about the ways in which schools and parents can keep children safe from the virus at school and during extracurricular activities.

Wright discusses the upcoming Count Day for the district.
